Where
Do We Go From Here?
Joyce Fairman
America’s
Black/African American population is heading toward personal genocide, genocide as it relates to health, education, and economics.
There are several contributing factors for consideration, a lack of knowledge, education, incarceration, personal responsibility
and accountability in life-style choices.
The disparities are mounting daily,
it is frightening to think that an entire group of people are on the edge of extinction. Cries for aid around the world are
heard; yet the cries from Black/African Americans reach deaf ears.
As a people, it is imperative to
reach back for ancestral strength; this is the first step into understanding what it is to be a proud Black/African American.
America is a nation has for to many years forgotten all the contributions
made by Black/African American in attributing to this country's greatness. Failing to remember Black/African
American researchers, doctors, and academians that validated
"Armerica." Americans.
Being Black in the 21st
Century still means riding in the back of the bus, dying too soon, incarceration, and often times being transparent to world,
but the future is in our hands and each footstep leads to a destiny of your own design as a people.
Dwelling on has impacted our lives
does creates personal barriers, but looking toward the future and making personal and professional positive changes establishs
WHO we are, it is each of our own hands to look at what WE want become for the future.
We are Great! We have and Will survive!
