Patricia
Green-Lee
CEO & Founder of B.A.S.I.A.
In 2002, Patricia and Linda decided to obtain their own non-profit status in order
to open a program addressing the epidemic of HIV/AIDS in the African American communities of San Bernardino
County.
B.A.S.I.A has a personal meaning for Patricia, one of her own
children contracted the HIV/AIDS virus, and as a mother, she works hard on the fight is to ease the pain that other mothers
would endure because of this deadly disease.

Dr. Lugenia Horton, PhD
Chairperson & Educational Advisor
Dr.
Horton comes to B.A.S.I.A with a very impressive background in education and community involvement from University of Pittsburg,
School of Education, Pittsburg, PA
She has a Ph.D. Adult Education: Higher Education Training Research Teaching Assistant: Testing Monitor and
Student Internship. Staff Psychologist: community College Allegheny county/University of Pittsburg. In addition to hold the position of Recruiter Coordinator for Grandmothers and
Teen Pregnancy Project University of Pittsburg/Homewood Brushton Branch/Community College Allegheny county and State Basic
Education, Harrisburg, PA.

Joyce Fairman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from Redlands University, a Masters of
Arts in Education from CSU San Bernardino, and PhD (c) in Education. As a credentialed teacher, she works
primarily with At-Risk teens and mature adults encouraging higher education.
Ms. Fairman is actively involved with B.A.S.I.A, Victor Valley African American Chamber of Commerce,
Victory Valley NAACP, and the African-American Health Institute of San Bernardino (formerly the African American Health Initiative).
Ms. Fairman is dedicated to be part of solutions and changes affecting healthcare disparities, and educational inequalities of
Black/African Americans throughout the Inland Empire.

Deborah Robertson, Ex-Officio Board Member
Deborah Robertson was elected to the Rialto City
Council in 2000, and active champion for B.A.S.I.A and their vision for Rialto's Black/African American Communities
over the past three years. In addition, she serves as a representative to the League of California Cities' Transportation,
Communications and Public Works Committee and SCAG's Community, Economic and Human Development Committee. She also serves
on the governing board o the San Bernardino Associated Governments in addition serving as a member of the Budget Oversight,
Redevelopment and Citizens Advisory Committee for the City of Rialto.

Michelle Dille
Legal Advisor
Mechelle Dille is
a licensed attorney in California and has been practicing for more than twenty years. Her primary areas of practice have been
in criminal defense, juvenile delinquency and poverty law. She has and remains a volunteer providing legal advice to several
Inland Empire nonprofit agencies.

Exoficio-Member
Nosente Uhuti has provided curriculum development
and hiv prevention education to Charles Drew University APIN Program, Jackson State University Jackson Mississippi, Lane College,
and Jackson Tennessee as well as served as guest lecturer for Redlands University and Chapman University Health Services and
Social Work respectively.
